I helped Liz run a "Tiddlers" group for toddlers as young as One year old at Arts Alive. We devised all kinds of fun and messy creative activities. Liz Buckler is an inspiring woman. She understands creativity and how giving children (and adults) the space to create can help with problem solving and helps the child to develop an engaged and thoughtful child. Liz introduced me to the ideas of Reggio Emilia School in Italy. Teachers work alongside artists to inspire creative curiosity. I have assisted Liz on training courses and worked in early years settings to encourage and inspire teachers, and as a result Liz has gone on to create a series of booklets together called "The Inspired Child", I helped with the workshop projects ideas, photography and in the designing of the book with additional help from Lucienne Evans. And we paid my son Jake the handsome fee of £1 for being our model in some of the shots! http://theinspiredchild.co.uk/ |
